deepak32025
I am leaving my current employer who is sponsor for my 457 visa and dependent visa. 31st is my last date. After that my current employer will file for cancelation of nomination . A new employer has filed for nomination for transfer which will take time. I m going back to my base location on 3 weeks vacation. Can I along with my dependent enter australia even if the nomination is not approved with the same 457 visa? If not What other options I have if I have to enter early.
Adam Grey
Yes you can re-enter on the 457. The title of the post is a little misleading as the 457 will never be cancelled, you're simply undergoing a change of position/sponsoring employer. deepak32025
Thanks again Adam! Apologies about the post title. I meant nomination withdraw. So, I won't need any bridging visa for travel to Australia? I along with dependent can still travel with current 457 visa while my sponsoring employer change process in progress. Adam Grey
Correct. You leave and re-enter on the 457. There's no bridging visa involved because you haven't made any visa application and you're still complying with your 457 conditions because you haven't ceased employment for more than 90 days.
