Guest jakepeg
Have seen a job advertised and had some informal discussions with people there, all good thus far. the location of Tamworth is what concerns. inland and possibly more outback than had previously considered. anyone live there and can give me more of an honest impression of the place. would be a family move , me , wife and 4 teens. Bobj
G'day mate, Tamworth is essentially an agricultural centre for wheat, cattle, sheep, orchards and horses. It's about 500 km NW of Sydney and about 160 km west of the coast. It has excellent facilities commensurate with a town of 40,000 people. If you do go, look at the east side rather than the west, or south, due to the chance of flooding. The Peel River that flows through the centre of town floods about every third year. It has the second biggest country music festival in the world. (For what that's worth) Cheers, Bobj.
