Alexander Charles Craft
More stuff about shipping - After getting a number of quotes for shipping (9m2) back to England. Quotes have been from $2.8 - $4.0k. I have decided to go for a shipping cube as I don't have much stuff, and sell my sofa before I go. This is $1.6k plus $0.2k charge in the UK. Which seems a lot better. When I phoned them, they said that regardless of being a year old or not, I would have to pay duty on perfume/aftershave. I don't have much, but it seemed a bit weird, couldn't find any other info on the web.
abz123
How many bottles and are they already open or still sealed in their packages? Might be easier to hand carry or put in your suitcase if you are saying you don't have a lot. Other thing to consider is the temperate extremes they will go through in transit so may be "off" at the other end regardless of the answer to the first question. shipper is probably just covering their own back for their licence. calNgary
I brought quite a few unopened toiletries and didnt have an issue, unless you have lots i can't see it being a problem. In all my years on the forum ive never read where anyone has been charged tax on perfume or aftershave theyve brought. Cal x
