Jimmy P Posted January 8, 2014 Share Posted January 8, 2014 Hi there- We are now within 6 months of emigrating to the Greater Brisbane area and are looking at the options for our accommodation for the first few weeks. We have found a few possibilities for furnished homes on the usual websites, but were wondering if anyone had personal experience of any particular furnished properties for a 4-6 week rental. They have two and three bed cabins for short term rent http://www.brisbanegateway.com.au/short-term-accommodation.html. It is right next to the M1 and M3 motorways so easy drive to Brisbane or to the Gold Coast. Make sure you get the short term rate as it is much cheaper than the holiday rate. We stayed at fairthorpe apartments which is close to the city the maximum bedrooms is two but we had the sofa bed made up to make a 3rd bed http://www.fairthorpeapartments.com/. There is another place near us that has a bit of a complex with pool etc. this is about 10kms from the city to the west. http://www.poincianapark.com.au/. I am returning to the UK in August for an extended stay and would like good tenants for a lease of 6 months. Doesn't help you now of course.
