NSW State Sponsored Quota Reached

You got the acknowledgement letter, meaning that your application was received (as MaggieMay24 points out) before 24th of December. I would not worry at all. Just wait. Keep in mind that it might be more than 12 weeks. I got my acknowledgement in November 11th and it said that they are processing 3rd of October applications. You got yours in December and they were processing 16th of October applications, which shows that they are not moving very fast or there are a lot of applications. Plus, they were not working during the regular holidays.

Got this reply from biz enquiry today.should be worried??? " If your application submitted before 24 December 2013, then will be still processing, the estimate processing time will be 12 weeks probably will be take longer process this stage."

If you got the Acknowledgement letter, and a file number, it will be processed. If not, I guess it will not be considered. Make a Plan B.

Paid, done medicals and PCC from 2 countries and uploaded all documents. Now, it is the wait for me as well.

It is funny, but applied for NSW just in case, only because I had a gut feeling something will change. I needed 5 points and I knew, I will know soon if I will get it or not and I could have waited before applying for 190 but decided to listen to this gut feeling and there you go, NSW reached the quota.

You did not answer if you have a file number from NSW.

I read that you can send another EOI with another State ticked. It seems that Victoria is more picky with candidates. You need 7 on IELTS.

where did u read this..can u provide me the link for this info coz i couldn't find it in the official site. And do you know anyone who submitted different eois to different states and succeeded. Im asking you about this coz i do not want it to affect my previous eoi and i want to make sure that its the right way to do it.

Hi Guys,

I am little bit confused with the wordings. It says "NSW is pleased to announce that program targets for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) have been met for the 2013/14 financial year." but then it also says that " Applications received before 24 December 2013 will be processed as normal.".

Does this mean that the application lodge before 24 December, not assigned to case officer will also be on hold until they re-open state sponsorship in July 2014.

I have lodged my application on 15th November, 2013 and my file is yet to be assigned to a case officer. Since they say that they have met the target for 2013/2014 will my application be on hold until July 2014 ?

pls..update on the progress of ur application..
