achapman
I am a medical scientist, and not sure which visa to apply for perm residence/work. i have a job offer for a gov agency in WA. i have an IELTS of 7.5 and i have my AIMS exam in march. ( have passed 2/3 exams for AIMS) how long do this visa take to process? can i apply for EOi now? this was some advice form a company, but doesnt say how long or which one i should apply for: 'If you can get a positive AIMS assessment, you could apply for a 189 or 190 permanent visa'. 'If Medical Laboratory Scientist 234611 is the best match Angela, then it is a Schedule 1 SOL occupation, which would allow you to settle anywhere if you achieve 60 points. I think you may have 30 for age, 15 for qualifications, 5 for 3 to 5 years qualified employment and 10 for English (based on your IELTS test scores), so you could pass that.' So if you end up with 60 or more points, you could apply for a 189 visa when you have a positive result from AIMS as 234116. efully you will get the page for Medical Laboratory Scientists here Angela: http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/Product+Lookup/1220.0~First+Edition,+Revision+1~Chapter~UNIT+GROUP+2346+Medical+Laboratory+Scientists To check other titles, click on the left link 'Search ANZSCO Titles'. Rupert
You can lodge an EOI if you meet all the criteria now, like having positive skills assessment and IELTS. Otherwise no you need to wait and do those things first.
