calNgary Posted August 22, 2006 Share Posted August 22, 2006 As my head is now firmly stuck up my bottom and i am waiting for my legs to catch up with my body ,could someone please tell me what you do about our uk state pensions ,obviously we arent due them here for quite a few years but do we have to notify anyone and do we still get anything from the uk system when we have moved over to Oz. Guest nico Posted August 23, 2006 Share Posted August 23, 2006 Yes, you will get whatever state pension you qualify for, but it will be frozen at that rate, and won't increase year on year as it would if you stayed in the UK. Fingers crossed, once I move over there next year and turn 60 I will be able to tell you how it all works in practice. It's all a bit theoretical at the mo.
