Abby Louise Hutchinson
Hi, I am an Aussie citizen (originally from UK), and my partner is from the UK, currently here on a student visa. We're going to apply for a de-facto at the end of the year when we have lived together for 12 months. We've been told we'll get an automatic bridging visa as we wait. Can my partner work on that bridging visa?
blossom
The bridging visa doesn't kick in until the student visa expires. If it is cancelled then no bridging visa a. Once the student visa has expired and she is on bridging visa a, yes, she gets full work rights.
