After our application was processed we had a baby. I've read that we need to go through the application process again, which is fine (although costly!), but I was wondering would we encounter any issues and how long does it take? Thanks! lebourvellec Posted October 3, 2013 Share Posted October 3, 2013 If applying offshore you are looking at 7-9 months for Child 101. Both adults will need to redo police checks , and visa will need to be validated in same way as your own - 12 months before earliest date of medicals or police checks. All about timing when you apply. Best to have granted before you go or becomes complicated by applying for visitors visas and leaving Australia for visa an be granted. Not ideal with a baby.
