My 'mum' once charged me £75 to babysit 3 days for my daughter, told me I would be a heavy smoking mother at 16, amongst many other negative things!! I invested my time & energy in my beautiful family & we live & thrive in Australia. I broke the cycle of abuse. So now I phone her once a week, we exchange pleasantries about the weather she will tell me that no one comes to see her & she's just waiting to die. (bearing in mind that she isnt remotely ill). My life is successful & happy & my relationship with my hubby & children is glorious. in one word, she is jealous. I was the apple of my dad's eye & she has always resented me for it.
