Incata
We were accepted in principal for a mortgage when my husband had a job offer and before he had started work. We had it agreed/approved/finalised (once we had bought a house at auction), when he had been in work for less than a month. I think it depends on both the bank and the size of the deposit you have. Andrew from Vista Financial
Just a question about getting a mortgage ,we are taking £120k as a deposit for a mortgage how long do you have to be in employment before being accepted for a mortgage. thankyou Hi pennypol Yes as Incata says it wil depend on both your personal situation and the lenders policy, all lenders have differening policies so there is not a definitive answer. It could happen almost immediately you may have to wait 3 - 6 months, you clearly have a good deposit so this will certainly help your case.
