I remember once emailing Radio 2 to tell them about my sense of 'deja vu' driving along the M4, and then realizing I was seeing South Wales through Capt Cook's eyes. MARYROSE02 Posted September 7, 2013 Share Posted September 7, 2013 Port Talbot? Industrial? South Wales' version of Port Kembla. The hills on one side and the heavy industry on the other. That is where my sense of 'deja vu' came from I think. I just dug out an old photo album from 1986 I think. 'Porthcawl, Aug, 1986' with the A4106 to Bridgend and the B4283 to Port Talbot behind me. I had an aunt and uncle who lived in Bridgend. There's a photo of a street in Port Talbot too, looks a bit grim with the huge hill towering over the town??? A nice couple of photos of Sully Island too. The way the photos were put into the album makes a contrast between Sydney and The New Forest (where I'm from)/South Wales I don't know if I'll ever go back now my parents are gone.
