457 to PR - doing it yourself?

Hello everyone

We are looking at changing from 457 to PR as soon as we can, we have been here for 18 months now

The 457 was all done through a visa agent. Has anyone got any hints, tips, experiences of doing it themselves rather than using a Visa agent?

Thanks in advance for any help

What visa do you mean? There are various visas that provide PR.

I have seen 189 and 190 suggested on here? I suppose I am looking for advice on that. We came on employer sponsored 457 and was looking for advice on the most usual route to PR. Know that there isnt a "one size fits all" but appreciate any advice especially taking the agent out of the question
