isangard Posted July 25, 2013 Share Posted July 25, 2013 lodged 457 paper based because MA said the system did not take the application online.received email acknowledgement of valid application 2 days later from e457.sydney email so I am assuming that it will be processed by the evisa team. I cannot track my progress because my application was paper based.Acknowledgement email has name and position number , does that mean the case officer is assigned ? how long the paper based application takes to process? Heard that it takes longer than online application but since i got acknowledgement from evisa team shouldn't it take the same time as online application? anyone has experience regarding paper application? by the way application was lodged 21 of june in sydney office. Raul Senise Posted July 25, 2013 Share Posted July 25, 2013 There were a lot of system problems with the DIAC lodgement system at the end of June, so it is not unusual that your agent was forced to lodge a paper application. Currently 457 processing is slow for applications lodged before the 1st of July due to the many changes that were introduced. As such both e-lodge and paper are moving slowly.
