Transporting a folding camper/caravan

Hi there

 

Has anyone had any experience of taking a folding camper to OZ?

 

Please can you give me the low down on exactly what to expect. I need to understand the charges involved (obviously excluding the shipping), whose valuation is used ie UK or Australia, and what changes need to be made in order to bring it in line with Australian standards.

 

It is currently valued at approx £4,500 in the UK but these things sell for a great deal more in OZ (perhaps up to about $17,000).

 

Any help gratefully received as I know we will use it so much over there but it may just end up being too expensive.

 

If anyone is super clever/helpful, perhaps they might breakdown all the charges for me so I have a really clear idea in my head.
