We have already sorted our long term, just need a short term place for 4 adults and 2 kids. Can anyone help? We have looked on pretty much every single rental site but the only places available...put it this way, I could buy the place for less! Does anyone know anyone or anywhere? Petals Posted April 30, 2013 Share Posted April 30, 2013 January is our long summer holiday and therefore all short term lets are at a premium, they really stack on the cash on school holidays. Our summer school holidays are from just before Christmas to February. If you know where you want to be in Melbourne you could look at Caravan Parks they may be cheaper but you would have to move quickly to get accommodation. The Australian Tennis Open starts on the 13th as well so accommodation will be tight around Melbourne central. Quest Apartments are good but they are not cheap. Check out Wotif, Stayz and other holiday let sites, there are a few around on google. If you have not already done so join up with the Life in Victoria forum there is a link at the foot of this forum.
