richdownunder
Hi, I'm trying to understand the costs involved with applying for a RRV once your existing PR visa has expired. I've looked on the DIAC website and can see under a sub-class 155/157 RRV the costs are $300. Does this mean that each time we want to leave Australia we will have to pay $300 each, so for the 3 of us it would be $900? All help most welcomed. NickyNook
An RRV can be for varying lengths of time - depends what you're eligible for. Details are on the link provided above. If you qualify for a 5 year one then it last for 5 years. You don't have to apply for a new one each time you want to go overseas. Note that it works out cheaper in the long run to get citizenship - which is what the government would prefer you to do.
