Hi guys, i wanted to bring our tv over but someone has just said check about the electric in oz i wasnt really sure what they meant but said something like we have 50 herts or something coming through the plug and if its not the same it will course lines and problems with the telly! Does anyond know what i mean lol or something ??

Don't worry, it's not the US, the mains power is the same (240v, 50Hz nominal, same as UK)

 

Your TV will work fine as a TV. BUT the digital tuner in it, if it picks up Freeview, probably won't (some do). If it doesn't, just buy a set top box here, or if you're going to get Foxtel (like Sky) then just feed that into the TV - no worries

Hello there :) I've moved this to Household.

 

You should be fine taking your TV. Plenty of people do. May need a set top box or some such to view channels (bit like UK Freeview).
