Clankaroo
Hi all, Has anyone tried freelance work in Sydney (IT) ? I've had a look at the rates on seek, it sounds like it's not that interesting or I'm missing something. I mean, I could be employed on 100KAUD/year or be freelance with a daily rate of 500/600 AUD and I still have to pay superannuation (I guess), the income seems approximately the same on a normal 200 days/year occupation. So it does not seem advantageous.. But then where is the advantage I should get from taking the risk of a non guaranteed income ? Usually, at least in Europe, being freelance is much more advantageous, kind of a risk reward.. As far is risk is concerned and being on a 176 visa, I can not claim unemployment benefits for 2 years, so it seems similar to me for the first 2 years... Cany anyone explain me what I'm missing here ? Thanks all
