nickachu
becks is about $55, summer is $40, and that's the cheapest, BUT we do have a club that is $5 pints and another one that is $3 basics on a thursday. A few pubs that are $10 pitchers. So yeah... expensive!
digitalis
Fk me Becks is expensive! That's weird though saying that $5 pints are like unicorn **** in Perth. I got charged over $10 for JUST over half a pint of "authentic" beer in some rip off Beligna joint in Perth, oh and $11 a BOTTLE in Mustangs on Australia day.. Only realised when I sat down. In my old hostel in Darwin (Maleulca) they had pitchers of similar price. There is so much money sloshing around Perth pub/club owners don't need to discount or offer to be honest mate. Diane
Been in Perth over 5 months now and am very bored. Not too fussed on either Sydney or Melbourne, fancy somewhere a little slower paced (not to mention cheaper). Anyone who has been to the the two recommend? Obviously jobs are a factor (construction but will do anything given it's my last 3 months) and obviously nightlife though I am more of a pub than a club man. Transport links will be important as I am not buying a car. Any suggestions? Definitely come to Adelaide - we're about to go into Festival season here - Adelaide is awesome at this time of year. We have the Fringe Festival first http://www.adelaidefringe.com.au/ - Garden of Unearthly Delights http://www.gardenofunearthlydelights.com.au/, loads of local, national and international comedians, shows, theatre, street performances - it's the best time to be in the city. After the Fringe I think it's the Adelaide festival http://www.adelaidefestival.com.au/2013/index and we have the Clipsal 500 http://www.clipsal500.com.au/ Honestly, you'd be mad to go anywhere else in Australia at this time of year - fantastic weather, fantastic entertainment, loads of young people out and about, friendliest city in Australia... you wouldn't need to have any sort of accent at all, it'd be like a smorgasbord of bright young (female) things everywhere you looked!
