Commander
Hi all I've been told I can travel on a 190 visa. Can any one put any light on this ?
lebourvellec
Need more information. But you can travel unlimited in and out of Australia on a 190 visa. The visa is valid for 5 years, once it expires you require a resident Return visa to re-enter Australia, but you must meet resident requirements to be able to get a RRV. lebourvellec
Yes once you have the 190 visa granted - this is what will be required to enter Australia.
Commander
Does this mean I'd have to sit a engineering skill assessment ?
lebourvellec
For a 190 you require positiv skills assessment and be nominated by a state.

lebourvellec
I've been nominated by the ACT state, what would the assessments consist of Not sure how that is possible to have state nomination without a positive skills assessment. Are you the main applicant?
Commander
Yes I'm the main applicant. Perhaps I need the assessment first then
lebourvellec
http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/index/visas/subclass-190/ Fisrt you require positive skills assessment, and depending on points you may need to sit the IELTS test. Once you have done this you can apply for State Nomination and lodge EOI. Once State Nomination is approved, and State updates EOI you will be invited to apply. You have jumped a few steps ahead, and unsure how it is possible for you to have been invited from ACT at this stage.
Commander
Think I've been confused from what the consultant told me, he is ringing Wednesday so walks him. Fanks for your help
claudiodr
Yeah, I think what your agent meant was that based on your skills/qualifications you're eligible to go down the 190 route but you'll still need to do the skills assessment, State sponsorship, EOI and visa app
