Guest guest73691
Hi there Welcome to Sydney! I'd suggest trying to get out there and get involved in some group activities. If you like sport, there seem to be loads of different sports teams to get involved in at all kinds of levels. There are lots of groups out there for people with different interests (anything from book groups to surfing) and for people who are new to Sydney, I found a few websites with lots of these types of groups listed. It may feel a bit forced sometimes and can be a bit intimidating going along by yourself, but you may meet some nice people who you can arrange to see again. If you are working, have you been able to meet anyone through work? This is how I met a lot of people when I moved here. Just have a rule not to talk about work too much!! Also, there are often meetups arranged on here. I think a few of us are going to try and get together for a drink in the eastern suburbs in the next few weeks.
