Simonglos
I am a fully qualified car mechanic, who has been working in nsw on a 457 visa for the past 2 and a half years. I only found out the other day I have to have a nsw motor vehicle repairers license to work in a garage in nsw to be a mechanic is this true, as I only have my English qualifications? Any help would be great as this vetassess want to charge over $2000 to transfer my documents over?
Guest The Pom Queen
http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/Tradespeople/Motor_repairers_and_insurers/Motor_repairers_guidelines.html tells you about it, I think this is the application form you would need http://www.mtaplus.com.au/files/current-apprentices/tradesman-application.pdf There is a telephone number on there give them a call, or you could just try ticking other qualification and tell them what you have. Your other option is to enquire at TAFE for an RPL https://www.tafensw.edu.au/courses/rpl/#.UORJ_2thiK0
