Linday Posted December 5, 2012 Share Posted December 5, 2012 You do need to be settled in Australi to sponsor your mother for a parent visa, which is usually a period of 2 years. You may not be aware that the parent visa 103 has a very long waiting list at the moment - around 15-20 years. The only option for most parents is the Contributory Parent visa which is quite costly. The processing time for this visa is around 15-18 months.
