Hi guys,

I got my invitation to apply on 1st November and submitted my application on the 21st. I'm a worrier by nature and so I was wondering whether anyone could answer some questions for me?

1) I didn't claim any points for my spouse's skills assessment, nor did I put anything in the application about it. However, in the last few days my document upload list has appeared with "Spouse - Evidence of Skills Assessment - Recommended". Why might they do this?

2) All the documents I uploaded have been marked as 'received', with the exception of my Skills Assessment, IELTS test and Marrriage Certificate, which all still say 'required', even though they were uploaded (and certified) over a week ago. Could this indicate a problem with them?

3) The list requires the health documents to be uploaded, yet they were returned to me in a sealed envelope saying 'do not open'. I'm confused. Should I open them and upload them?

4) Do people find the case officers to be friendly and helpful, or are they officious?

There are various other things I worry about, but they are similar in nature to the above. I know most of the above can be answered when a case officer is assigned, but in the likelihood that this won't be until after Christmas I was hoping to get some peace of mind in the meantime.

Thanks in advance!

Hi

Me also have applied in Nov

1. Documents status are misleading, even you have uploaded them, sometimes they show as required or recommended. Anyway when CO will be allocated, he will request them again if he cannot access them from the system.

2. Health Documents will be uploaded directly by the clinic (if it is an approved ehealth centre) or send by post to Global Health in Australia for verification. You should only bring application and form 26 and 160 with you at the examination +(Passport). If ever, they give you back the forms, dont take them as DIAC is very strict about it. They can consider medical test as void and can ask you to re perform them at your own cost.

3. CO will only contact you for additional document needed. Sometimes they wont acknowledge receipts of documents also. Perhaps they have too much work.

Will you I am hoping for a reply in Jan

Goodluck

Thanks for the reply. I did the health check at Medibank Health Solutions in Sydney. They asked me to fill in an envelope while I was there and the forms were posted back to me.

There was no mention of them being uploaded directly by the clinic, however I was given a reference number so DIAC may be able to access them from that. Currently the forms are at home sealed up in an envelope marked 'Do not open'. I reckon I can check with the CO what I need to do. Its irritating because if I'd known about ehealth beforehand I'd have done it that way.

Just got to keep my fingers crossed now!
