Just wondered how long you have to be there or can you apply before you get there once you have a bank account etc??? You need to show salary going in for a few months before considering applying or you risk rejection and a mark of rejection on you credit report. furkew Posted October 16, 2012 Share Posted October 16, 2012 I came over on a 457 temp visa so had full time employment guaranteed. gave them a copy of a signed letter stating full time empolyment & salary detsails plus I had already transferred money into my australian account. It was over 5 years ago at the time, but I believe it took less than 14 days after arriving to all be sorted. I use my credit card for everything and pay it off at the end of every week instead of using my savings account.
