dannymonaghan
Hello , I applied for my first working holiday visa last Tuesday and got a reply back last night. On the application it asks if you've had any previous convictions which I had to put down yes breach of the peace which was in 2009. The email I got back last night is asking what happened and wanting a detailed statement of the incident and the lead up to , any fines imposed etc. The incident is basically this myself and some friends went on a day trip for a birthday to a place called Millport in Scotland , got drunk and ended up being escorted to cells for shouting and singing at each other. Had to go to court , was found guilty and had to pay a £300 fine. I dont want to sound like a drunken idiot when I right out the statement though lol . Is breach of the peace really going to stop me from being accepted for this visa ? Cheers.
Guest
It shouldn't do. Plenty of people have had minor things on their record and gained a visa. You've done the right thing declaring anyways. I'd just do as asked and write a decent explanation, keep the facts with locations etc and don't waffle too much. Good luck
