I am a carpenter/builder thinking of coming over from New Zealand. Not sure if this is the correct place to post this,so apologies if i am in the wrong. Any help/advice appreciated. Petals Posted September 13, 2012 Share Posted September 13, 2012 There is a lot of building going on around Cranbourne, Berwick, Pakenham but not as much as there was. A lot of new estates are opening up in the western areas of Melbourne and in the northern areas and you may find work takes you to these areas. If you look on line at the newspapers The Age and The Sun on Saturday there is a lot of info on jobs and also new housing and established housing supplements. You could also join Life in Victoria, there is a link to the forum at the foot of this one. Most people resident in Melbourne and they may be able to assist you further with areas.
