Guest dronzoru
Hi all, Have an odd situation. I have been granted 457 visa to work in Australia. However my personal situation has changed since then so I can't move to Australia - well I can but would prefer to stay here as of now. I have no problems to terminate the contract but visa worries me, are there any possible issues which can prevent me from getting 457 visa in future? Thanks

lebourvellec
Welcome to PIO No, there should be no problem if you cancel the visa, and re-applying in the future but you will need to list that you had a cancelled visa. I cancelled my 457 once I left my employer and had no issues getting PR later.

The problem which worries me here is that I've applied outside of Australia and I want to cancel it without even coming to Australia. Is it still OK ? lebourvellec
Yes - if you dont enter Australia by the date stipulated on the visa - it would expire anyway.
