They are a union company and pay well, including super. At least now though we are informed and can leave down the line if things become problematic. I would still like at some point him to become employed on a mine(( just want control of the remote Lol), but I have to say he is relatively unskilled and on 90 k but working 45 hours pEr week. Honestly, with the slowdown happening at the moment he's better off staying where he is; two mines shut down locally, massive cost cutting going on within existing sites; there's a hell of a lot of uncertainty right now and it's not a good time to be trying to get into the industry with a whole bunch of redundent people from sites looking for the same vacancies.
