Hi, I have been offered a job in Melbourne and plan to move from Scotland with my son (20). Can anybody give me some idea on the cost of a reasonable level of healthcare insurance and the best company to go to ?

Also looking for any advice on a good area to look for rental property. I will be working in CBD but happy to travel 45/60 minutes. Ideally would be close to beach and sports facilities as we are both into our sports, rugby in particular

Cheers

You've got a load of choices, but your best bet is to look along the train lines and live close(ish) to a station so you can just jump on the train in to work.

Maybe Frankston or Pakenham/Cranbourne line if you're after being closer to the beach.

Rugby isn't that big in Melbourne - especially compared to Aussie Rules, but there are loads of sporting facilities all over the place, and I'm sure there will be rugby stuff around (I just wouldn't have noticed it!)

:)
