Toodolou Posted May 8, 2012 Share Posted May 8, 2012 Hi there , sending my Aphra reg off this week and hoping to move to qld by may13 Im a general surgical baby nurse ( 8 mths qualified ) and have just received job offer in ITU at the hosp I work in now . this is something I have always wanted to do and don't know if I should turn it down and continue on gen surgical ward due to view of moving to oz , or take it as this is wherei want my career to go , will I be too inexperienced to pick up a job in ITU in oz as I would then have been in ITU for 10 months only with no critical care formal qualifications. not sure if this would just hinder job offers from Oz if I switch specialities now ? if I stay on surg ward now , are there many job opportunities to train in critical care ITU in oz with no prior experience ?
