Joanna82
Hello Hello, I am currently finishing up my AASW application to have my degree assessed, they also offer to assess skilled employment for migration purposes. Since I am in a bit of a hurry to get everything send off, do I need to have this done or can I take it up with the DIAC later? They say on their website: Your relevant Assessing Authority which undertook your skills assessment may also provide an opinion on your skilled employment experience. The department will consider the Assessing Authority’s opinion when awarding points. Sounds to me like its a nice to have thing (at $150 + expenses) but not a necessity. I only need 3 years (5p) and my employment history is quite straightforward so I am leaning towards skipping it for now. Main reason is that I want to send it off this week and collecting the additional proof might take a while. What do you guys think?
Waitingawhile
I am of the same mind and did not go for the employment advice form the assessing authority only the skills assessment and know others who have done the same- Diac still assess it anyway and if yours is straight forward you will be ok.
