If you have PR and depending on your income, you may be able to claim CCB (child care benefit) and/or CCR (child care rebate) to help with costs. You can find more info and calculators on the Family Assistance website. http://www.familyassist.gov.au/payments/family-assistance-payments/ If you need daycare for the youngest, be aware that there are huge waiting lists for centres in Canberra. Pretty much impossible to get a place in the babies rooms, easier in the toddler and preschool rooms. Family daycare might be a better option.
