whatsthestory
hi all, just wondering if the tax system works the same as the uk for self employed sub-contractors? do you get taxed at source and do you get tax relief for business purchases like vehicles, ,fuel, tools etc. will need an accountant too cheers Danny
guvnor
you get your abn number which you give to whoever your subbing for ... you dont get taxed at source like the uk on the cis scheme .. you then pay all your tax at the end of the financial year .... it did make me click why so many do cash jobs here lol ... and yes you do get business expenses such as fuel, clothes . tools etc
