proof of childhood vaccinations

Just wondering what proof they ask for of childrens vaccines?

And if your child hasn't had any MMR and they are already past 4, do they need 2 doses of it or just the 1?

You need 2 doses of MMR to maximise the uptake and improve your child's chance of being immune.

That is the official advice of the Department of Health and as a Health Visitor I would advocate that too. Unlike Tony and Cherie I am happy to say I have had my kids vaccinated for MMR as I have nursed those infants who have been unlucky enough not to have had the vaccine before they contracted measles and babies born to mums with german measles.

Apologies about the proof bit, but not certain. I have both boys red books with a record of what they have received signed by the nurse/HV who gave them. Your local Child Health office could perhaps give you a print off of the kids vaccinations if you asked them through the HV or school nurse?
