rackspace
My questions are regarding bringing spouse on visit visa: How much time is required in visit visa processing ? Can visiting spouse apply for spouse visa ? If yes, then will the spouse get bridging visa till the decision is made? Can some one who is awaiting decision on spouse visa get a visit visa till the decision is made?
lebourvellec
Has your current visa been granted yet? If not why are they not on your original application?? As regards to Partner visas - if your spouse visits Australia under a Tourist/vistors visa - if they have a No Further Stay condition attatched to their visa - then No they can not apply for a onshore partner visa and therefore will not be eligible for a bridging visa until a decision is made. I think you are from a HR country therefore it is likely that the 8503 NFS contition would be applied to and tourist visa that would be granted. Since partner visas can take along time to process - then it is unlikely that your spouse will be able to visit for the lengh of time required. It would have been easier to have them on your original application.
