What a sense of humour

Many people do it anyway. Waiting for the passport and then leaving the Country, so it doesn’t make any difference. I think that if the ceremony is online could be anywhere in the world. I waited 10yrs and I worked hard trust me. ( like everybody else) I just needed to get home to my family coz was 3 yrs without seen them, and my dad wasn’t doing very well so I want to enjoy them now! And the reason that I left is because the Department told me that I could do it coz my ceremony was online. Otherwise I could wait.

Because cost me too much money. I was waiting for an year almost, and the Home Affairs told me that I could do it! That’s why I left. Otherwise I wouldn’t do that. And I called them the other day also to tell them the story and they insisted that I could do it overseas coz is online! They don’t even know how to do their job!

Hi everyone, anyone knows why if the Ceremony is Virtual the person needs to be in the country? Just because I left Australia as they were taking too long for the ceremony, (almost one year waiting) so I called the Department and they were saying that was fine, that I could go as my ceremony was Online. Then I received the invitation and on the letter is written that I need to be in the country for receive my zoom call. Anyone knows why? thanks in advance Laura.

Hello Everyone, I’ve been calling for my Virtual Citizenship Ceremony, however they told that I cannot attend if I am overseas even when before leave Australia I called them 3 times to making sure it was possible and apparently it was! Anyway, I was waiting for almost an year from my approva date, now my question is.. I will returning to Australia in September 2022, do you think that they could cancel my approval so I have to do another application? I am very worried. Thanks in advance Laura

Hi all, does anyone still waiting or just did the citizenship ceremony recently? A friend of mine and I still waiting for it, but he’s waiting for about 9months..which it’s very concerning, as I have to leave the country for a while as soon as possible. We are under Waverley council NSW both of us. If anyone had any recent experience pls let me know! Thanks everyone

I m concern coz a friend of mine still waiting for 9months, I only waiting for 5, however I have to leave the country for a while as soon as I can… thanks in advance
