  1. Thanks guys…. @ring3018: no hearing for my case. Decision was made based on papers we had provided.
  2. Hey guys…… I am pleased to announce that i got my golden email from Home Affair yesterday aftter 5 years. Below is my timeline 06/2017: visa and nomination lodged 187 DE for Cafe/Restaurant Manager in WA 01/2019: nomination refused with bloody reason: the business didnt have genuine reason to hire full time manager and then visa application refused. 02/2019: AAT review submitted. 02/2022: AAT requested to provide supporting document 06/2022: AAT set aside re Nomination, visa application remitted to Home Affair. 2 days later: S56 from Home Affair to provide police clearance and health check 07/2022: police clearances submitted. Health assessment completed 08/08/2022: visa grant…… It was such a lengthy and stressful period that it affected to my mental health and almost gave up end of the day for many reasons as many here might be in the similar situation: family, covid pandemic, the ridiculous reason that Home Affair refused our case and so on. However, every cloud has silver ligning. I did have countless support from family, local community and you guys here who had given hopes and empathy. I am thankful for those who have shared their cases and advice. Below is some tips from me: - If you are still waiting so your case will be opened by AAT, please follow the statistics from their website which for me gives you the estimated waiting time. You might also check the updates from people here with their timeline. I believe it is helpful to give you an idea where your case is. Therefore it does get yourself well-prepared, saying police clearances, passport (if that expired or about to). For example in November 2021, i had kept following this forum and AAT website and acknowledged that i might have to wait roundabout 30 something months. Considering during the pandemic everything does take time, in January i did apply for passport renewal ( as it would be expired soon) and police clearances both AFP clearance and oversea one. I also asked the accountant of our business to get our financial records updated such as BAS, income tax returns, payroll reports… i mean as much as possible with regard to the operation of our business. If you follow this website, you definitely can have some ideas what sort of documents that AAT might require base on the refusal. In my case, they asked: Business registration and history from ASIC, updated Quarterly BAS for September, December quarters, financial reports for 2020 and 2021, organisational structure, my job description/duties, updated employment contract, the prove of regional body certicate, prove of job advertising back in 2017 when i applied to job and 2 more minor things. When we received this letter from AAT to request documents, we had already got almost everything!!!! - Health check appointment does take time. When we received the S56 for health check, we tried to book the appointment but it took us 1 month. Not many appointments were available and again Covid sucks! With this point, i mean that you might try to save your health check appointment as soon as you could. I wasnt sure if you could do the health assessment before S56 sent out considering It is valid 12 months. Again, i am unsure. - immi account: This is highly recommended. As visa applicant, we can create our immi account eventhough our visa application is lodged by agent. You then can import the application and track it. From there you can see the status, updates, messages and attachments. You can also see what documents you or the agent has uploaded. At this point, after the health check cleared, what we found was my partner’s oversea police clearance was missing which we thought it should’ve been in before ( as we provided everything when s56 was issued). I then contacted to my agent and he did attached it again, so not sure if he forgot or due to some technical issues. Anyway my point is immi account gave me the access to see how my case was and check if the requested documents have been submitted. - last but not least, as many say, live your life, stay positive. I know said is easier than done especially for us who (used to) desperately wait for our golden day. You still have your family, your work colleagues, your community who are always with you. If you find it difficult to express your feelings while you hopelessly wait, then reach out councillors, specialists. I am sure they are willing to help you out. I guess that’s all…. I am glad i knew this forum and incredibly thankful for the people who keep this topic live. I do wish you all the best and surely i wish to see your posts telling the rest of this forum your good news. God Bless!
  3. Thank you for sharing your experience and feelings…. My case is highly similar to yours in terms of time frame. Visa lodged June 2017 then nomination refused January 2019. AAT sent email to provide further document February 2022. It’s been almost 3 weeks, nothing heard from them yet. I do have sympathy for you as i am going through the same situation. Please keep us posted and take care
  4. I dont believe so…. AAT does prioritise cases under special circumstances… one of these is compassionate ground. If you can prove that you have been suffering mental health then you might lodge in writing your circumstance to be prioritised. I will have been waiting for 36 months next week and i have heard nothing from them. It is crazy, never believed it could happen being hopelessly waiting for 36 months.
  5. My AAT review application was lodged in Feb 2019 and hasnt been opened yet. Sadly nothing heard from AAT so far From WA
  6. What is your nominated occupation and why did you get refused Soso? Mine is Cafe manager. Nomination refused as CO considered it wasnt genuine position. Please keep things updated my friend. Happy New Year and all the best!
  7. Is there anyone still waiting for AAT to open your case? I have been hopelessly waiting since Feb/2019 without any response Thanks
  8. Wow pretty much similar to when I applied to AAT but sadly I havent heard anything at all…. Do you think it is good idea to send follow-up email to the AAT ?
  9. Hi Inder, Would you please, in more detail, what month did you get lodge AAT review? what ground did you get refused by Home Affair? In what state? I applied AAT in February 2019 as Cafe Manager in WA. I havent heard anything at all since then, which makes me feel hopeless. Please keep things updated. Thanks D
  10. It seems 2018-2019 AAT applications have been processing. Congratulations to you guys whose reviews have been processed or opened…. I applied in February 2019 and still havent heard anything at all. Is there anyone who applied around that time and have been contacted? Occupation: Cafe Manager under 187 DE State: WA Visa lodgement: June 2017 Visa refusal: Jan 2019 AAT review application: Feb 2019 Please keep things updated guys.
  11. Hi everyone, This is abit outside of recent discussions. Does anyone know when AAT releases monthly Statistics? If you guys have a look onto their website, it is currently only updated up to 31/05/21 Thanks
  12. Hi Pav3, First off, congratulation for having positive result from AAT! I am not about to answer your query but just refer to your case... What was the refusal reasons? And how long did AAT take to invite you for hearing after your case had been opened? Mine was applied in June/2017 and got refused in Feb/2019 as Cafe Manager in WA. It seems our case was 6 months ahead from me...accordingly, i assume my case would possibly be opened next month or so. It is just kinda planning ahead for it. I hope your PR will be granted very soon. Take care and thank you for sharing
  13. Finally we have some good news. I wish the rest of this process would going forward very quickly for you guys....and again please keep us posted.
  14. Good on ya virajhu. I hope all the best would come along...and please keep us posted. cheers

  16. Thank you Ring3018 for your sympathy... No doubt that i have been so mentally exhausted waiting for such a lengthy period as you can imagine. Your comment is such an huge courage. I will keep you posted if things happening to me. hmm do you or anyone who can tell that our time is coming soon? Is that a good idea to get ourselves organised by redoing Police Clearance or health check as i believe these things take time and validated for 12 months ? anyway, thank you for the comment! Stay in touch cheers
  17. Thank you WelderGuy (not sure of thats how you are called). I will post if getting any updates meanwhile looking forward to hearing from you.
  18. Hey guys, I am newbies on this site but have silently followed for few months. Below is my case and it would be so much appreciated if anyone could assist or give me any idea. 187DE lodged on 14/06/17 as per Cafe Manager in WA. Nomination and visa application were lodged as same date. 21/01/19: CO sent Nomination refusal letter without asking anything with the ground that the manager position wasn’t necessary as owned by 2 owners. Ofcourse it is kinda ridiculous reason for what i have done and still doing this. We do have all the records from business, the owners’ personal circumstances and local community evidence to prove the position is genuine and essential. Anyway, AAT review was submitted on 21/02/19. Since then, we havent heard anything from them. However, 08/20, we uploaded further evidence including updated business financial statements, payroll system, reference letters and medical records of one of the owners. In short, it has been more than 27 months after the AAT review being submitted, we havent heard anything. So here i am...i do wish to hear any comments from you guys. Any suggestions are more than welcome as i have been desperately waiting for this case. I have noticed that alot of people in here have got hearings or finalised case after such a lengthy waiting period. I believe the date of AAT review and AAT contacts aligning with nominated occupation and state are something helpful to track down where we are. Does anyone have this? Thank you for spending your time on my post and look forward to seeing your comments J
