I got my Australian citizenship on 26/07/2021 and took my certificate to aus post after applying online, filled the application in and paid the passport fee. Since the. (5 working days ago) I havnt heard anything back, has anyone applied for their passport recently? Did they contact you?

Do you know how long after you send an email do they respond? I sent one money. I am due a ceremony in three weeks but Darwin is in lockdown and I work in remote aboriginal communities. I said it isn’t safe for me to return to my appointment. I also need it for hecs but didn’t mention that. The community is far more important.

Does anyone know what happens in your city has covid regulations (but not a lockdown) I’m in Darwin and have my ceremony in just over three weeks. I’m so nervous it will be cancelled!

Are you sure it’s the 801 and not the 820?

I applied for my 820 in March 2017 820 granted jan 7 2018 801 applied 1st March 2019 801 granted 15th Aug 2019 (perm resident) when can I sponsor my partner who is in England to stay in Australia? De facto relationship with proof. is there a 5 year wait? When does the 5 year wait start? Can I get the wait removed for some reason?

@Randall i messaged them that I need a hecs loan to progress with my nursing. It also made me get my 801 in 5 months as they sped it up when I did my nursing assistant course. Now I’m at uni and paying my domestic fees but I wanted to put them on hecs which is what I told them 26th July the next ceremony is September. So you should be invited two months after me. I got the invite 3 weeks ago.

Randall have you had any luck with an invite to ceremony yet? I did call them up and ask for one which could be why I got one so quickly.

Hello. a friend of mine (Australian citizenship) is bringing her boyfriend over to Australia for a holiday (British citizenship working in New Zealand) does he need to apply for a tourist visa? he wants to go back to New Zealand but may decide to stay if he likes it. Will he get a no further stay on his tourist visa? I am British and I don’t think I ever had to get a tourist visa thank you.
