Ok I can talk to them for you
I also emailed them and searched online but it said they're temporarily closed- the office might be open but the biometric section is closed.
If you could please give them a call and confirm, that would be great as so many of us are waiting to do biometrics. Appreciate your help

My husband is also waiting to do his biometrics but unfortunately AVAC are currently close. Please let me know if you find out when they open.

Pakistan dear
Did you apply through an agent? Does it really depend on the agent? Or as long as you provide all your documents that should be fine?

For reference for those who have not come across my posts before, my husband’s application had a VERY long waiting time.
DOL: July 2017
Interview & Medical submission: March 2018
And then they disappeared. No matter how much I tried, I tried EVERYTHING but all they told me was his application is under security checks. I tried talking to MP and everything else.
Up to this day we don’t know what were those checks. So anyway I came to Pakistan to live with my husband in Nov 2019 and due to Corona I have been living here for a while. So Ofcourse I gave them updates, sent them photos of us from time to time BUT the main thing that helped his application is the fact that I got pregnant. When I shared the news of my pregnancy with immi and sent through my scans and our photos together, they were closed here in Pakistan but after two months when they were back on track they responded to my emails & asked for a renewed police clearance and medical certificate, my husband went and did his medical examination and then we submitted his police clearance and ONE day later his visa was granted. They sent me two grants, first 309 and then 100. Which means my husband got his PERMENANT visa granted ALHAMDOLILAH MASHALLAH!!
We are beyond happy and relieved. Good things definitely come to those who wait.
So my advice to everyone stuck is to make sure you do visit and by visit I mean long term visits like at least 3-4 months and provide as much proof of your genuine relationship as possible at the time while you’re living together. And be strong, one day it will all come to an end until then patience is all you can have. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
Congratulations! Well deserved

Hi All,
My partner has just been granted his permanent visa today. I got an email of grant an hour ago. May Allah grant your spouses visas soon inshallah to be united with your families. Amin.
Woww congratulations!!
I can't believe. My agent just told me today that she has been told by immigration that they're not processing offshore applications as Australia does not allow international arrival.
I keep imagining the day I have to let you guys know about my visa grant. I hope it is soon

some people told me their application will get declined, so I'm not too sure to be honest if its true but yes its best to let your agent know so they are prepared to apply for extension in a worse case situation, because its a hassle getting a visa in Afghanistan its like a 2 week wait?.
Damn that's risky. Thanks for letting me know that. It is better to be aware of the consequences and I will confirm with my agent.
My partner faced so much trouble last time he wanted to get the visa. He had to go to kandahar to get it. I'm not too sure how the situation is like now. Honestly it shouldn't be that difficult but the officials making it harder and more expensive

Yeah its 28 days, it shouldn't be a hassle though I'm sure flights in Afghanistan and Pakistan are running. but yeah get it sorted out if you need more time email the embassy, I'm assuming it would be Dubai.
what happens if we miss on this letter? I mean if my partner can't get Pakistan visa by then, would we be able to get a second letter or I have to let my agent know so she can ask for extension?

heya,
I thought you'd get a letter once you paid for the application, once I applied for my partner which she is in Afghanistan I got a letter saying she needs to do health exam and biometrics. I also believe if you don't do biometrics after I think its 1 month they won't accept because I applied for extension so my wife got enough time to go Pakistan. correct me if im wrong though my application was 2 years ago. could have changed
best of luck champ
I'm not sure. I have applied through an agent and I have not seen how it looks like. My agent only sent me the confirmation letter saying that I have successfully lodged my application. She said she can request for him to do his medical and biometrics but since it was early stage of covid, we had to wait. Now she has sent me the referral letter and it says that he has to do it within 28days of receiving the letter

Hi, my husband applied from Afghanistan but he did his biometrics in Pakistan. You have to make an appointment on the VFS website. On the day of the appointment you have to take the letter which was sent to you which has your visa lodgement number. Has immigration got in contact with in regards to your husbands applications, did you get a request for biometric?
Thanks for your help Alina.
No news from Immigration. But I requested my agent to send us the referral letter for medical and biometrics. We want to do it beforehand as we don't know by the time immigration requests it, would all the offices be operating due to COVID19. It is safer nowadays. For medical I know it expires after 12months, how about biometrics? Does it also have an expiry date?
How about your husband? Was he requested by immigration to do his medical and biometrics or he uploaded upfront?
-
Hi All,
Anyone who has done their biometrics in Pakistan, could you please advice the process? How is it done and what are required? My husband wants to get his biometrics done in Pakistan and he is currently in Afghanistan. Do we need to book an appointment? We don't know the process and appreciate if someone could help.
Thanks,

Hello Everyone,
My wife visa granted yesterday.
DOL: 15 Jun 2019
Granted: 20 Aug 2020
No interview and medical expired on 18th June.
A couple of RFIs regarding Police checks for me and my wife.
Immigration called my number on 7th August regarding RFI, but I already submitted 2 months ago, and the guy on the phone refreshed the system and then he got it.
So keep chasing them if you think there is unnecessary delay.
Can anyone guide me for flights from Islamabad to Sydney? I am checking online but can't find any flight for the month of Sep and there is only a few in Oct with Thai Airways.
I wish everyone get their Visa soon.
Woww that's really great new. Congratulations. Did you apply it yourself or through an agent? What was the RFI the officer asked you over the phone?
Did you provide medical and biometrics upfront or waited for their request?
-
I don't think Afghan applicants can apply for Visitor visa. It is very rare that it gets approved. That's what I was told as Afghanistan is a high risk country and they don't normally process their visit visa
