Hi I received this afternoon a request for police clearance for my time living in Spain, does that mean when submitted that it may be granted or is this simply standard procedure? In my mind was thinking if they are asking for this then everything else will be ok or am I completely wrong? Any help appreciated x

Morning I have received the following email re my application, on my Immi account it is still at "Received" - I have had no messages or requests for additional information, do you think this is progressing all ok? Many thanks in advance x Whilst our operations have reduced capacity during COVID-19, your application is progressing and we will be in contact in due course. Whilst I am unable to advise of specific time-frames given your application is still under initial assessment, the application is progressing.

Did you call to the Global Call Centre or a number in London? I spoke to the Global Call Centre and they advised I was still within the 90% time frame and basically told me to just wait, which is understandable.

When did you submit your application? Cannot believe one was approved within 24 hours!! Lucky them No not travelling anywhere until things have settled down (COVID)

Hi I was looking today at the timescales for applying for a SC 101 Child Visa (from the UK) and this was on the website: Processing times 75% of applications: Unavailable due to low volume of applications. 90% of applications: Unavailable due to low volume of applications. Would it be the case that these may be processed relatively quickly? Many thanks in advance

Wouldn’t be until next year now giving the current circumstances. Don’t want to apply now and have to wait for 14 months until it’s process as my visa should come through before July. Was just considering options to make the move and then apply onshore or do you think it would be better to apply now? X

Sorry Paul, it should have read can I apply for a tourist visa then apply onshore for 802 visa, was just looking at different quicker options than applying for the 101 visa here in the UK? Many thanks

Thank you all After some research I am considering Brisbane, I am currently a Telemarking Manager and would be looking at call centre jobs and there seems to be more opportunities there? So any advice is so very gratefully appreciated. My initial rental income would be around the 500$ mark until we buy xx

Ideally would like an area where there is a lovely community feel especially having an 11year old, good secondary school and the ability to be near some shops/restaurants? Thank you for your reply I am a little confused and now worried, under the eligibility criteria I think I may have misread and my future looks not quite like I hoped. Hope you guys may be able to help? Would my dad have been given citizenship at the time of birth? My family went over as £10 poms and my father was born a few months after their arrival. I am now really confused as how would I find out if he is still a citizen, should we apply online? Any help would be so grateful appreciate

Happy Friday I hope someone will be able to help me a little. My father was born in Adelaide in 1952 and remained there for 3 years, would I be able to apply for Citizen by Descent? I only have a photo of his birth certificate not the original, is there any way that I may apply to receive a copy and would it be mailed to the UK? Thank you all so much in advance x
