Apologies if this has been asked before. Current situation is that I'm in the UK and my wife is stuck in Australia, we had just submitted our UK spouse visa application and had the biometrics scheduled but then it got cancelled due to them closing the VSF visa centres... now stuck in limbo, like many others I'm sure. My question is can my wife travel to the UK for a visit (assuming she can get a flight) whilst we have a pending application in place? The visa agent we were using suggested we could but then went off-grid and I assume is not working atm, and never got the chance to clarify. I wasn't sure if a pending application means you have done the biometrics part or not, we have not yet so she still has her passport. Just wondered if anyone had done this or knows what the regulations are. Would love her to visit as who knows when this will all be over but don't want to do anything that may jeopardise our application. Thanks in advance and stay safe people. Al.

Mine only took a few days to get approval, (that was about 6 weeks ago) but that was the online one, hard to believe the postal one would take that much longer. FWIW you dont need to have the ToR before you book your move cube, you can book it etc and then provide the ToR number afterwards.

So for what its worth I had it confirmed from HMRC that you only need do one application even if you are planning multiple shipments.

Thanks for the replies all. Seems like might be best to get one for each shipment just in case. No harm if I end up not using one of them I guess.

Hello all.. Just about to make a start on this process and have a couple of questions if I may. Am thinking about sending 2 separate shipments by different methods, a few items I want to arrive quickly as I will need them will go by air freight, and the remainder in a move cube as no real hurry for that stuff. Can I use 1 TOR number for both? We're also shipping our fur baby but I read somewhere already that he can use the same TOR as our other shipment so I think that is covered. Thanks in advance, and +1 to whoever said this processed aged them 20 years, just thinking about it has done that to me (especially the fur baby part).
