Oh I see. So there's no way of telling when you might receive an invite! Guess I will just have to try and be patient.

Anyone else have any timelines for invitation for 190?

Thanks Dean0703. Had a panic. I wonder when the December invitations will be issued for 190!

Following the changes on 16th November, we are entitled to an extra 5 points. Our immigration agent is aware of this, however, should we have updated our EOI or is this automatic?

Any other experiences? It seems 190 is a lot more accessible than 189.

My partner and I lodged an EOI for the 189 and 190 Visa on 14.10.19, we have 80 and 85 points respectively (increased to 85 and 90 after 16th November). We are both Architects (232111). How long roughly will it take to be invited?

As part of my visa application I am going to undertake an english assessment (I am from UK) my Immigration Agent has suggested the PTE Academic or IELTS General. Would anyone recommend one over the other?

It seems that it could take a year or more to obtain PR - I was wondering if there was any route we could take  to get to Australia sooner whilst the PR is going through?

My partner and I are UK qualified architects and looking to move to Australia as soon as we can. We have spoken to a lawyer in Australia this morning and they have advised we should apply for the 189 Visa (PR).  How long does this take? Anyone else in a similar situation? I have also thought about applying for employment in the meantime to see if we can get sponsored?
