  1. Thanks Raul - do you think there might be another lot of invitations issued? As it seems those who received invites had anszco codes starting 33/34..whereas mine is 232111?
  2. Hi all. So yesterday saw many offshore 190 NSW invites. I have spoken to a few people who were invited and they had less points than me and lodged a month or more later. Does anyone know if NSW group invites by occupation?
  3. Hi, yes I've done PTE and achieved maximum points.
  4. Nearly ready then? Good luck. We are still waiting for an invitation for 189. Not sure how long it's going to take. Also been speaking to agencies about sponsorship, but not looking likely.
  5. Can you do the test from the UK? Which languages are included?
  6. Hi All, January saw 1000 invites for 189 with minimum 90 points. I currently have 85. Any idea if there's any way you can increase your points score? My points include skilled partner points and offshore experience. Unfortunately I don't have onshore experience. Is the NAATI qualification an option? Anyone know what's involved and even if it is possible? Thanks
  7. Thanks. I think we have some options for 190 and 471..just emailed our agent. Fingers crossed.
  8. I have everything crossed for you!! I am going to try and put together a list today of potential places we could get a visa. What visas did you look at? I am going to look at 190 and 491 for each state - but please let me know if there are others!
  9. Which did you go for in the end? Have you been invited?
  10. Its so frustrating, very surprised that teacher isn't on there. I am going to check out the other states. You have been granted your visa now haven't you Dean0703? Very confused what to do next! Any advice welcome.
  11. I have just had a look on the Western Australia website, and, although Architect (232111) is on the Home Affairs Skilled Occupation List, I don't believe that it is on the Western Australia Nominated Occupation List - unless I am mistaken? Does this mean that we would not be able to apply for the 491? https://www.migration.wa.gov.au/services/skilled-migration-western-australia/occupation lists
  12. Thank you so much everyone for your advice. To be honest i think it is a big challenge to find a sponsor, but I guess its another option. The 491 is very tempting. I am going to take a look at job opportunities/what its like to live in some of the cities such as Perth and Adelaide. Just a few other questions: 1. Does anyone have any experience of applying for the 491 in these places? 2. Are there any good forums to discuss what its like to live in Perth? Also job opportunities? 3. Would you advise that we submit a separate EOI to our one for 189/190? Thanks!
  13. OK. Latest update from my agent. They have suggested a TSS Visa. Any thoughts? How do we go about finding a sponsor?
  14. Thanks - how many points do you have? Does anyone have any experience with Perth or Adelaide?
  15. So if we lodged an EOI to live and work in Perth (where we would remain for 3 years), roughly how long would and invitation take? And then the processing time?
  16. Thank you. Unfortunately we are not able to get sponsored. I have had a look at the NSW/VIC postcodes and they are a little far out to commute to Melbourne/Sydney. We could consider Adelaide or Perth, but would need to check job availability. Is there any data on how long it takes to get invited for a 491 and also processing times? I assume then we would apply for a 191 after three years (is this quicker than a 189 at the moment?).
  17. Ahh I see. Hmm thank you. There's no other options I don't think. No temporary working visa if you are over 30
  18. Its very challenging when you want to make plans. I know everyone is in the same boat though. Anyone know much about the Subclass 491? Could you apply for this and live somewhere outside of Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and wait for your invitation for 189/190? Is this points based too?
  19. We have just participated in a webinar on the down under centre website and they have said that it is unlikely we will receive an invite for the 189 without 95+ points. They also said that if NSW haven't invited you within 3 months it is unlikely that they will. Any thoughts?
  20. Wow have you seen the December invitation rounds for the 189? Minimum 95 points!
  21. Wow that is so quick. It will be 10 weeks on Monday since our Immigration agent lodged our EOI.
  22. Congratulations! Very excited for you! How long did it take to be invited? I must admit I am getting impatient
