Yes he was an Australian citizen at time of my birth. His name is on my adoption paperwork. The small amount of detail I have matches totally with what my half brothers and their mum have told me. Dna is supportive of half siblings. Currently in the process of applying for birth certificate.

I have recently found out my biological father was an Australian citizen. I was adopted at birth and he had no idea of my existence. He is now deceased. I have found my half brothers and have had a Dna which supports half sibling status. I have applied for my fathers birth certificate. However his name is not on my birth certificate only the adoption paperwork and I have a different name. Are the authorities going to be difficult about this and do you think it wise to employ a migration agent or could I manage this myself?
