Fitter migrant

We've been invited by NSW. Havent heard anything for months now. How long can we all wait. Its upsetting and tempting to just walk away from it all. Lot of money wasted but ya gotta get on with your own life at some point.

I've been waiting on a request for police checks and medicals for 7 months. I'm not hopeful that I'm gonna make it. How long can life be on hold. We got invited by NSW around January. Covid has really screwed us up. Its pretty upsetting TBH.

Hi there thanks for responding. And sorry for the delay. My wife is having a crisis as she has a good job here and the company that we work for trains us up but doesn't give us any certificates so is worried about job opportunities. She is currebtly working in emergency management but was in the HR department prior to this. Are there job opportunities over there that would suit her or should she be doing some further learning. Also any info on good areas bad areas is always useful.

Hi thanks for replying! Could you give me an idea of what's classed as a good area over there and a couple to avoid? Sorry if I'm being a pain. Its a scary prospect moving.

Are the schools there good? Is it a safe city to be in? Which areas are best and are there any areas to avoid?

hi everyone. Weve been invited by NSW and have lodged our visa application. We ( my wife 2 kids and I) are thinking of trying newcastle to settle in. Any people done this that can offer some advice on schools, areas and anything else that may be relevant to life in newcastle. TIA

Hi. I done my tech interview in November and yeah they asked about lathe ops and milling. I stupidly then asked for machining as my extra topic even though I'd answered the questions. Should've picked hydraulics. I passed anyway. I think so long as you know how to set them up and basic speeds and cutting feeds you'll be ok. I'll assume that the questions are different for every interview. So probably cant be any more specific.

Hi all. Looking to migrate to oz this year with my wife and two children-4&6. I was wondering which visa to apply for I know i am going to be on the 189 skilled independent but which one for my wife and children? All the visa's I can find are for partner of Australian citizen. Its pretty confusing! I've passed trade test fitter general just waiting on ielts test coming back. I'm probably just missing something but seem to go round in circles. Cheers in advance.
