  1. Hi guys, Does anyone know once the grant email has been received, how does the applicant receive the visa? Is it upon arrival at Australian immigration? Thanks in advance.
  2. We were asked to submit my husband's police check from Karachi as he had lived there for a long period in the past. Other docs such as updated polio vaccination, further proof of financial evidence etc. I think it's specific to each case and depends on what you've submitted before. If you've submitted everything, additional docs might be to just give CO a better understanding of your relationship My husband did his medical in August 2018 and he's been asked to enter before September 2019. Not sure if it's linked.
  3. No just my husband who was the applicant Not sure about that. His medical was done in August 2018
  4. Yes that's the personal statement detailing how your relationship started, progressed and any future plans. I updated immiaccount with doctors letter confirming pregnancy when I was around 7 weeks. So very early on
  5. Do you have an agent? It would be best to consult someone whether you should disclose it or not. They say to notify immigration of any changes in circumstances asap. I would suggest consult someone coz if they ask for updated medical, it'll come up in your blood tests too. Hope it works out for you
  6. Are you the sponsor or applicant? I am the sponsor so me announcing pregnancy didn't matter as I'm Australian citizen. And want to deliver my child in Australia. However, I have heard that if the applicant is pregnant, it might delay the process. But I'm not sure.
  7. Pakistan. Any evidence you provide of your relationship being genuine with each other, such as the ones you mentioned, will help your case. To help the case officer understand your situation, it's always better to submit a personal statement by both applicant and sponsor.
  8. Simple questions like both our date of births, wedding date, how we manage our financials, who will support my husband when he moves to Australia etc. She also asked my husband some questions relating to my pregnancy maybe to see how well informed he was. She also confirmed some things such as where my husband did his education from and current job etc. Interview doesn't take more than 15 minutes. She asked very direct questions and did not want extra explanation on anything. So keep it simple and to the point.
  9. Hi guys. Just received the partner Visa grant email today. Our case was very straightforward. Married for two years. I am now pregnant with our first child. Our timeline was: DOL: 20 MAY 2018 further docs requested: 18 December 2018 Docs submitted: 16 January 2019 Interview call: 20 February 2019 Grant: 19 March 2019 Good luck to all those waiting. Trust me, it'll be worth it in the end.
  10. guys i need assistance immigration has asked for my husband to get a police clearance certificate for Karachi (he lived there for 9 years from 2004-2013) he's settled in Islamabad now and we have provided PCC for Islamabad. but they need it for every city he has lived in since turning 16 does anyone know the process? can we get this online or will my husband have to travel to karachi to get it from the local police station he lived closest to? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much.
  11. Hi guys, We applied in May 2018. Additional docs were requested on 18 December. Yesterday my husband received the interview call and they've asked to submit a few other docs. Any one know how much longer it'll take for th grant after the interview has taken place? We aim to submit everything within a week
  12. I'm so confused. If immigration is personally contacting people who applied in April for docs then how come those who applied in Feb are still waiting to hear the decision? Don't they process applications according to when they receive it?
  13. Same here. Submitted additional docs 6weeks ago. No news Yet. Why does it take so long. I wonder how many applications they receive and process on a daily basis. It's been a while since most people here heard news of their grant.
  14. Yes we've provided everything they've asked for. Now it's just the waiting game. I have to travel in the next two weeks. Not sure if it'll come by then. From what I can see in these posts, its taken most people from Pakistan almost one year before getting the visa Fingers crossed and hoping for the best though. Have you had an interview call yet?
  15. Hi everyone, Posting for the first time. My husband is Pakistani while I am an Australian citizen. We applied for the partner Visa on 20 may 2018. We were then asked for additional documents on 18 dec 2018. Whilst providing those documents, I found out that I was pregnant (I am the sponsor). No news since from immigration. I have advised them in the change of circumstances section that I am now expecting and would like my husband's Visa to be granted asap as I have a high risk pregnancy. So we both can travel to Australia for medical facilities and delivery Has anyone been in a similar situation? Immigration emailed me saying we have other people in the same situation as you so it is not a compelling enough reason to expedite the process. I am rather worried how I will manage everything alone in Australia if my husband's Visa doesn't come in time before delivery. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
