Hi Tiago,
Really sorry you are in this position - do you know what is the next step for you? will you re-apply?
My MA agent reached out to me last week and said the department of immigration are hitting out hard on "genuine need for the position" for ENS visas and as such need to strengthen business case by providing key achievements since being in the role and justifying the need for the employee.
Also salary is a big thing that needs to be justified so again a strong business case needs to be put in place to support your base nominated salary - https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/regional-sponsor-migration-scheme-187/salary-requirements
Did you use a MA for the nomination?
Wish you all the best for the next steps, understand the heartache you are in at the moment - as previously had a nomination refused.
Hi @sydneyishuk ,
Thanks for your message.
Yes I have used a MA and we are going to appeal. As look like they even do not touch my application. My Company is Globally and has 23 Network and Systems Engineer like me and several Help Desks and developers.
More than 60.000 employee around world.
We are 3 Network and Systems Engineer in Australia 1 in Brisbane, 1 in Melbourne and I am in Sydney.
The main reason for refuse was that My Company don't need my occupation as we are not a IT company. What the hell is that? Are they crazy? Every single big Companies need IT teams for sure. That's why we are going to appeal.
All the best and thanks again for getting in contact.

Hey Mate,
Thats sad to hear. Did they mention the reason as to why they refused the nomination ? What has your MA suggested ?
Thanks for your reply.
My MA said it was that My Company don't need my occupation, wich is ridiculous. Also my salary was too low. 75k

Although I received the email, the last updated of my application still remains the same.
Same as me, it is real or an issue ?

My theory is that the email got send to all applications that have not been allocated to CO’s yet, so that when someone picks up your file, its ready to be processed. Most people that haven’t received the email are long waiters. That we haven’t heard anything doesnt mean our file is not allocated yet, just that the CO has not worked on it/finalised it.
I have several friends who didn't got it. And have no other contact from immi even with applications older than mine. I think you are wrong.

I think that the people who received the email today maybe those who applied trt at April to June. The DHA send us the email maybe because they have finalized the majority part of applications applying before April. So they let more cases get in in order to be ready to assess.
I had aplied in August.

Hi there,
I am really curious about this email.
My MA already got similar email.
He said that
"Hi Tiago
See below email – your 186 visa application will be assessed “shortly” (in Departmental language this could mean within a week or within the next 2-3 months)."
The email was sent from nsw.pse@homeaffairs.gov.au
Is someone who got it from same or different sender?
what is suspicious for me is that the email was sent to my MA, however it is not showing in my immi account message box. That is weard.
Thanks in advance.

I also noticed that they used the word "shortly" in the email.
I think shortly means very fast and faster than soon right?
It`s not very discreet for them, is it?
My MA said it can be 1 week up to 3 months.

Hi @sydneyishuk
I just spoke with my company HR and The company got approved as a standard Business Sponsorship - Aus in 03 September 2018. And what the hell my MA do not requested my medical exams early? Is that a nomination approved?

Your employer will be able to tell you once the nomination has been approved. Yes, only the company has access to nomination part of the application.
Thanks@sydneyishuk

@TBO , I am in the same situation.
I have aplied in 23 August 2018. I just book my medical exams. How can I know if my company nomination was approved? Only my company has access to it?

@Tiago Your wife would not be able to complete a medical at this stage, as she would need a chest x-ray and this could be very dangerous to the child.
You would have to wait till the baby is born, do the medicals and then upload the same.
Thanks @Hex,
I will do it Monday. But my wife will do it after baby born.

Hi there,
I have applied for 186 for Computer Network and Systems Engineer and have been 7 months till now no change it is as received. I did login first time now and I saw that is requesting medical exams 501. And X Ray already as completed also HVI test. My wife is pregnant for 31 March now. Should we do it now or after the baby born? And My agent should not requested it before? I saw the Time frame also dropped since I have applied.
Thanks for any advice.
I wish all the best for all we in this journey.

Hi there,
I had applied for 186 on 23 August 2017 as Computer Network and System Engineer.(263111). So far no update on that. I work on Global company and I am the first one on this company to apply for this visa. Can I have access for that spreadsheet to check and update my details on it?
Best Regards,
Tiago
AAT appeal for 186 nomination refusal

Hi All,
My nomination was refused on April and the worst part is that was the day of my daughter borne.
They gave 2 reasons why, First and main reason was that My Company don't need an Network and Systems Engineer, Second was that My salary was too low.
My Company lodge an appeal 1 week after.
1 month later my visa also was refused as I had no valid nomination. I also lodge an appeal.
So far we didn't heard from them.
All the best for all of us.
