  1. My wife got offshore 489 SE visa grant on 27.10.2020 She applied for her visa on 9th of March 2020 Co contact 13th of March 2020 Lodge complaint through the global feedback 19th of Oct 2020 Visa grant : 27th of Oct 2020 My wife doesn't have university degree and just working as food and beverage attendant in her home country and never been to Australia. Stay positive, your turn must be coming shortly too. I have one friend who applied for same visa on 13th of March and received visa grant same day with me. Looking forward to hearing a good news from you.
  2. I applied for 1 month earlier than you (9th of March 2020) and medical test was required by 13th of March and have no contact since then, but my status is further assessment. As we can see a few people received visa grant since last week, let's stay positive.
  3. Congrats, Vick. When was your wife got last contact before? Is she working in the critical sector like a nurse?
  4. What's your visa application status? Further assessment, or just received??
  5. It's nothing against to the migration act, we are just innocent victims. I have been wasting my time since June 2020, but there are still many people have been waiting since 2019, September is the worst case I know. Luckily, the amendment was published recently the immigration will save those people who was not able to lodge 887 visa by waiting their spouse and expired their 489 visa. There is nothing we can do at this moment. Hopefully, I can hear that those 2019 visa applicants grant their spouse's 489 SE grant shortly..
  6. I read an interesting post about the one lady working as a nurse in her home country. She is waiting for her 489 subsequent visa outside of Australia and applied for the travel exemption and it was approved. Interestingly, her visa was also approved a few days later. So, I think the your wife case is pretty common thing. If your exemption application was approved, your wife would get the visa straight away. I also applied for my wife 489 exactly 2 months behind you, and I already fulfilled the 887 visa requirement 18th of June, just wasting my time.
  7. 1) While you are waiting for 489 visa grant, you are eligible to apply for 887 visa as long as you fulfill the 2 years residential and 1 year full time working requirement. 2) You can't simply add your dependent on the 887 visa. Everyone need to hold 489 visa in order to apply for 887 visa. The cost of subsequent entry for 489 visa is $4,045. So if the primary applicant already meet the 2 years residential 1 year full time work requirement, the secondary applicant can also apply for 887 visa at the same time while he/she is waiting for 489 visa grant. Don't understand your last question about the pre-grant. Pre-grant is given for 887 visa holders in case they are not in Australia at the time of the decision is being made. It's not related to the 489 visa.
  8. Yes, it is possible scenario, onshore is super faster than the offshore, even you are eligible to apply for 887 visa while you are waiting the 489 bridging visa. You can simply apply through the immi account and submit all the required & supporting documents. The documents you might need to prepare is already described in the previous postings in this forum. All the best
  9. I am pretty sure, if the global pandemic is not in place, your wife's visa must be already approved. As you may already aware, now all the offshore applications are on hold and they don't assess the offshore applications at the moment. So, no one knows when they will start to assessing our spouse's 489 subsequent entrant visa at this stage. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do except to stay positive until they make a new announcement. Cheers.
  10. Read all the previous posts in this forum. I refer to this information, it enables me to lodge the visa without any drama.
  11. It's not each 30, just average 30 is enough, just got confirmed from the migration agency and immigration. Thanks anyway.
  12. I am a bit confused the definition. Is overall 30 enough, otherwise each 30 is required?
  13. Thanks. mate. I think we are really on the same boat. When I submitted all my documents, in order to reduce the visa processing time, I created separate file that I would like to pay the VAC2 payment for my wife as she doesn't have a functional English test result. After this pandemic, my wife studied and passed the functional English level and I submitted the English and I updated her English test and notified immigration that she passed and does not want to pay the VAC2 payment accordingly. Anyway, let's see when they grant the visa. Please share your case update once you get any further notifications from the immigration.
  14. Now you can simply think it is completely stopped. They don't access any offshore applications at the moment. I applied for the 489 SE by 9th of March and received further document by 13th of March, and the status is further assessment. I just hope my wife get her visa in this year.
  15. Onshore or offshore? Is your application status initial assessment or further assessment, otherwise just received?
  16. A friend of mine got her husband's 489 subsequent entrant visa by 10th of March 2020, applied as of 26th of February 2020. Only takes 14 days to get visa grant. (Onshore) I applied for my wife 489 SE by 9th of March 2020 and got CO contact on 13th of March 2020. (Offshore) Medical examinations and original copy of police check (I submitted English translated version only) were requested and submitted all requested documents on the same day (13th of March 2020) No further update yet. Can you share your timelines? And also if there are any silent users, I will appreciate if you share your timeline details. Thanks in advance
  17. Yes, basically 4 weeks are considered as annual leave per year which is including your residency timeline, so you don't have to waste extra 1 month to apply for 887.
  18. Hi, Pamila. This is not a 489 family or state sponsor forum, its 489 subsequent entry forum. Hope you find appropriate forum to get some advice for your case.
  19. Hi, guys. I have a plan to register my marriage relationship status with my girl friend next year February, and we are going to marry by the end of June. I have read everyone's post and still not sure if she has to apply for tourist visa first and apply for 489 as onshore or she has to apply for 489 first as offshore and apply for tourist visa later unless it is granted within 4-5 months. It seems to be many of you guys here let your partner comes to Australia as tourist visa first and apply for the 489 visa later. When you apply for the tourist visa in your native country, what purpose of visiting did you guys write? As my wife wants to work ASAP, so I would like to apply only 2 months tourist visa at first to make her bridging visa is in effect ASAP. \ Does anyone of you guys have been through same scenario of mine?
